Heather is a recognized expert in helping career professionals combine academic and career advising to produce the best results for their clients. She provides Career Development Facilitator (CDF) training, onsite professional development, consulting and speaking for a wide range of career professionals, from college academic advisors, career counselors and adult education staff to school counselors, job coaches, state government career-focused staff, faith-based organizations, and private consultants.

Career Development Facilitator (CDF)

Overview

The CDF training is intended for professionals and paraprofessionals who provide career-related services in a variety of settings such as higher education, K-12 schools, government agencies, business and industry, private practice, and community-based organizations. It is designed to serve as a vehicle for professional enrichment and as a vehicle to achieve national credentialing as a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF).

Credentials

The GCDF credential is an internationally recognized certification for professionals serving in a variety of occupations related to career development support and facilitation. To achieve the certification, a candidate must complete the 120 hour NCDA CDF curriculum taught under the direct supervision of a Career Development Facilitator Instructor (CDFI). Visit the NCDA website for information on course history and requirements.

Format

The CDF eLearning format combines 24 face-to-face contact hours; 56 hours thru distance delivery; and 40 hours of Independent Study. With the exception of the face-2-face sessions, each student has control of the pace of the training.
